RESUME

Ever since getting a hole-in-one Mathew Colona has believed he is the world's greatest golfer. However, his worse than average handicap forced him to settle on being an information technology professional who has helped more than 483 companies worldwide secure their networks, and protect their data.

Mathew completed his undergraduate work at San Diego State University in Computer Science and received his Masters in Computer Science at Cal-Tech. He started programming secure communication systems for the U.S. Navy in 1984. Since then he has worked as a Software Implementation Engineer, Sales Support Engineer, Software Engineer, Firmware Architect, Network Engineer, Security Analyst, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Over the years Mathew has authored dozens of information and network security white papers, as well as a book on network security that have made him a well-respected IT security professional. He has also earned San Diego Magazines Top Tech Exec award 2012, served on the Cloud Computing board for the Association of Information Technology Professionals and still serves on the board for The IT Summit. Unfortunately, none of this has improved his golf game.
